Jamie Kales is a certified San Diego floral designer and owner of The Fifth Arrangement, a studio specializing in prestigious floral work. She has worked with Neiman Marcus and has taught art history for the San Diego Museum of Art. Ms. Kales works from a sense that inspiration is to be found everywhere and that the formal and the whimsical can be found in the face of a flower. Her teaching style is refreshingly unique, as is her floral work, extracting from all art forms and media and unswervingly encouraging discovery and experimentation in student work. Her floral work is a journey of passion as the various aesthetic influences of color, pattern and texture convene in inspiring, high-drama botanical creations. Ms. Kales was a featured designer at the San Diego Museum of Art's Art Alive 2009 and was recently interviewed for Art Rocks radio. She attends the AIFD National Symposium annually as well as attending most recently the AIFD Southwest Regional workshop in Orange County.
