Anger: Friend? Foe? Frenemy? Anger may feel instinctive, and venting it might feel good initially - however, anger can be extremely difficult to control and can often make situations worse. Mismanaged anger, rather than the emotion itself, can lead to damaged relationships, impaired work performance, even compromised health. In this lively, informative workshop you'll learn powerful methods of controlling anger. You'll be taught how to prevent the build-up of non-productive anger, how to cope better with people and situations typically triggering your anger and how to calm down when your anger has already taken hold. You'll also learn how to identify and alter assumptions and unconscious beliefs that fuel anger in the first place. Valuable handouts are included. Maxine Seltzer, LCSW, has over 30 years of psychotherapy experience.
